The IMLCA National Cup and Showcase was a huge success, thanks to our players, coaches, parents, families and others that came out to support their teams. A big thanks to our sponsors, especially ADIDAS for being the title sponsor of our event,  our partners, the IMLCA, GameTime Footage, and Gatorade for helping keep the showcase running smoothly.  The weather was warm, although not always sunny, and luckily, the rain held off long enough to give the athletes perfect lacrosse weather for the weekend.  Teams from all over the country traveled to southern PA to compete in one of the nation’s most prestigious tournaments.

Friday began with the IMLCA Select Showcase, where each team from the 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 division nominated their top players to compete in showcase games in front of countless college coaches from top DI, DII, and DIII programs.  Saturday meant the beginning of the IMLCA Team Tournament, and we had plenty of action as there were multiple 1 goal and 2 goal games. Top competition battled it out in regular game play to obtain a top seed for playoff Sunday. Saturday night, we kicked off the first ever, Adidas, IMLCA All-Star game between the 2018 White and 2018 Black team. It was hard fought, with talented players on each team, showcasing their skills, but the White team came out victorious with a final score of 13-6. The athletes made off like bandits, collecting gold elbow guards, gloves, cleats, uniforms, and socks from Adidas.

The weekend was jam-packed with talent from all over the country, with teams from North Carolina to Texas to Canada.  The tournament accumulated on Sunday with the division winners 2018 Resolute, 2019 Carolina Cannons, 2020 Annapolis Hawks, and 2021 New Hampshire Tomahawks celebrating victory.  From each division arose top players among the great performances from every team.  The 2018 MVP midfielder Johnny Wiseman controlled the game on both ends of the field. The 2019 MVP goalie Hayden Switzer came through with incredible saves throughout the tournament. The MVP of the 2020 division defender Sam Beall played excellent on and off ball defense.  Finally, 2021 MVP defender Anthony Ramano shut down the attack and protected his half tirelessly.  Shout out to all the teams and college coaches that made this weekend possible and thank you once again to ADIDAS, IMCLA, GameTime, and Gatorade for their support of this event.
