To All Club Lacrosse Directors and Coaches:
On behalf of the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) we invite your teams to participate in the 2019 IMLCA National Cup. The IMLCA has stepped up our commitment to making this a unique event. The IMLCA, and our newly formed Events Committee, is committed to making the National Cup a reflection of the coaches association values with several major initiatives to provide a memorable experience for all participants:
- A new location with easier access to I-95 and improved hotel options: The 2019 event will be played in West Windsor, New Jersey on the campus of Mercer County Community College and adjacent Mercer County Park. The Mercer County venues are centrally located along the I-95 corridor (approximately 15 minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike and only five minutes from I-295). The new site will provide more direct travel for many participating teams and college coaches while also offering improved hotel options.
- Board of Directors Participation: The IMLCA will host the mid-year Board of Directors meeting in conjunction with the event. The Board members will be on site at the National Cup and assisting with the event planning.
- IMLCA Showcase and Prospect Clinic: In addition to tournament play, the event will feature a Showcase for rising junior and senior players still undecided on their college destination as well as a Prospect Clinic for rising sophomores. Both activities are open to any and all entrants and are only limited by number, age and grade level in accordance with NCAA rules.
The Showcase and Prospect Clinic will take place on Friday. Many of the best teaching coaches in the game will lead instruction during college-level practice sessions prior to any games. These experiences will provide players the chance to interact directly with college coaches. Players will also learn about the recruiting process during a Q&A Session with a Hall of Fame level coach. These experiences will provide players the chance to interact directly with college coaches.
- Information for College Coaches: An important part of the recruiting process is to make sure that college coaches have the most accurate information possible on prospective student-athletes. Led by the IMLCA Events Committee, the National Cup will place an emphasis on being the tournament with the best player information available. This effort will be led by IMLCA member coaches placed at each field during tournament play to confirm that the information for your teams and players is up-to-date and available to all college coaches.
We are excited to present the 2019 IMLCA National Cup. Our goal is to make this event a truly memorable experience for every participating athlete, family and coach. We look forward to seeing your teams next summer.
Sincerely,
JB. Clarke

About the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA)
The IMLCA was established in 2004 to serve the intercollegiate men’s lacrosse coaches community. The primary mission of the IMLCA is to develop among intercollegiate coaches a deep sense of responsibility in teaching, promoting and maintaining the growth of lacrosse in accordance with the highest ideals of fair play. Its membership is comprised of individual college coaches. The IMLCA works to stimulate the development of quality leadership for lacrosse programs by sharing current trends and techniques in coaching as well as recognizing outstanding contributions to the sport. IMLCA initiatives are also advanced through cooperative relationships with other professional organizations interested in developing the game, including the high school boy’s lacrosse coaches and the collegiate club lacrosse coaches associations.
